No spam. Automated messages, advertisements, and links to competitor websites will be deleted. Moderators will use their discretion to decide if your post constitutes spam. The decision cannot be reversed but you can file a complaint if you believe the decision was unfair. Your feedback will be taken into consideration for moderation decisions in future. Contact Novel Notes for approval before posting if you have a sales post or advertisement that you think may be appropriate and helpful to others.
Post in relevant sub-forums only. You may be asked to repost in the correct sub-forum and messages posted in the wrong topic area may be removed. Do not crosspost and spam multiple categories with the same content.
Use clear, concise subject headings. Make it easy for other users to find relevant topics. If you have a clear subject for your post, you are more likely to get appropriate responses from others as well.
Be nice, and respect other users. This is an inclusive forum and discriminatory or abusive behaviour will not be tolerated. Threatening or harassing behaviour is grounds for deletion from the forum.
No explicit or triggering content. We want all users to feel free to explore the forum without worrying about stumbling across shocking or harmful content. If you wish to discuss adult themes such as tracking adult activities in your journal, please create a separate thread in an appropriate category and include a content warning so people know what to expect, for example "CW: discussion of adult themes". Posts containing pornographic images and explicit or offensive language will be removed.
No illegal / stolen content. No re-posting of copyrighted materials or other illegal content is allowed. Any posts containing illegal content or copyrighted materials will be deleted. Please check with the original creator if they allow reposting. Always credit the original creator and include links to the source.
